How much do we really trust in God? Ever REALLY think about that question? Would you trust him with you’re life? You’re spouse’s life? Or how about you’re child’s life? Trusting in God is literally giving him control over our lives and letting him lead it for us. HE should be the first thing that we think of when we wake up, and HE should be the last thing we think of when go to sleep. Reading the Bible and Prayer is very important, we should always start and end our days praying to God; asking him for direction, protection, and we should always be thanking him for everything he does or doesn’t do for us. He should be the FIRST one we go to for our problems, as is says in Matthew chapter 7:7-8 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Right there tells you he is going to help you. In Malachi 3:6 it says “For I am the Lord; I Change Not..,” so that verse tells you he is not going to change his mind. Looking for a worldly way to help solve you’re problems doesn’t show much trust in God. We should be reading the Bible daily to help us grow in Christ, if you just read it once a week you’re never going to really understand or unlock the hidden messages that are in the Word of God. It’s like a plant, if you don’t water it then it won’t grow, same as reading the Bible, if you don’t read it you won’t grow in Christ. There are many Bogus Bibles out there, the King James Version would be the true one to read. We have to remember we were created to serve the Lord. Glorifying God should be in everything we do. Like Ellen White said, “bring him into any business we may be engaged in.”(myp) So we should bring God in everything we do and everywhere we go. If you don’t believe in the Bible I would reconsider, there is so much proof in the Word of God that matches up with what is going on in our world today, years ago and what is soon to come. Try studying Prophecy and it will amaze and shock you.
When we put God first in our lives we are rewarded with many benefits, like answered prayers, food on the table, a house over our heads, a healthy life, financial stability and much more, but this is OUR choice whether or not we want these benefits. God gives us free will, so it is our choice to do God’s will or Our will. Sometimes people turn away from the Lord because of the trials that come upon us, which is the devil just trying to push us away from the truth like he always does. Many people don’t realize that God won’t give us anything we can’t handle, as it says in the bible in I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” So any temptation that God allows the devil to test you with won’t be anything you can’t handle, there will always be a way out, and Yes like it confirms in the book of Job, the devil has to ask God for permission before he temps you. Many don’t understand that the trials we go through are all apart of showing God our loyalty to him. God is testing us, which also makes us stronger. Look what Abraham did in Genesis Chapter 22, he was going to give up his only son to God before the angel told him to stop, he trusted God that much to put his only child in the hands of the Lord. After God saw that Abraham passed his test he was incredibly blessed. The Lord will recognize every effort you make towards him, don’t be ashamed if you sin or what you’re sin is because we are all sinners, and if you are serious about turning you’re life to God, ask him to forgive you and to help you over come that sin. You won’t regret it.
Matthew 8:36 — “What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?’
Joshua 24:15 — “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Proverbs 16:9 — “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
