Obedient Lifestyle

I am sure many people would agree with me when I say, “it is such a great feeling to have God in my life.” The many blessings, answered prayers and the “different” kind of happiness we get to feel. I say different because it is different, it’s not like winning a new car or getting a raise. It is an “I once was empty but now fulfilled” type of feeling. A feeling of satisfaction with life.  

Many times we forget that God is by our side and the bad thoughts start to come. We become sad, depressed, feeling alone and we start to question our Father in heaven of His whereabouts. I feel this is because of the evil that is lurking around us trying to make us feel empty inside and doing everything it can to get us to doubt our God. The evil devil will do anything and everything to make us have negative feelings, thoughts, and even point of views. We really do live in a negative world, it is all around us, but it doesn’t mean we have to be negative too. Who do you think brings on these bad feelings? Definitely not the angels.

Bad moods can be contagious if you let them. Have you ever been in a great mood, you woke up happy and everything is just going great, but then you meet up with a friend or family member and they start to tell you how horrible people are or they tell you the bad gossip that is going on? I am sure we all experienced that. And what usually happens next? Your mood changes from positive to negative. This is why being positive is SO important. I read a good quote recently, it said the only difference between a good day and a bad day is our attitude. It really makes a lot of sense. We have to learn how to control the thoughts that pop in our head, and with God it’s possible. It’s only going to get worst, especially how God is taken out of everything now a days. We can’t even talk about God in schools. Truth is, you’ll get in less trouble taking God’s name in vain than you would in praising God in our school systems. It’s a shame, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have God in our lives. When we put God first, he is always with us and no matter how bad the devil temps us, we have to remember that God won’t give us anything we can’t handle and always trust Him. He knows what he’s doing. After all, He did create us and everything around us, and everything was good. We all have free will, how we choose to live our lives is our choice. Which way will you go?
