We can never have too much God in our lives

I find it ironic how some believe they don’t need to “go overboard,” when it comes to God in their lives, yet complain and begin to doubt when something bad happens in their lives. What I mean when I say overboard, is to give God complete control over their life with everything. I believe the reason some say this is because they don’t want to give up something that they know the bible says is wrong because they enjoy doing it. We all been there, I know I have. If we say we want to keep God number one, then we should try our best to do so. We shouldn’t think it’s too much, because in reality there isn’t enough we can do for God. Look what he’s done for us, why shouldn’t we repay him with obedience towards him and spreading his word like he wants us to. He created us, he showers his obedient children with blessings, and most importantly he gave up his only son so we could have a chance at Heaven. Yes, I say chance because we have a choice, that’s why God gave us free will. I know some of us grew up on tradition with certain things, and it is hard to break, just like eating healthy, if we grew up on eating processed foods and sugar it’s going to be hard to break. Just like our health is worth saving, so are our souls. If you say you believe the bible and want to keep the Ten Commandments, that’s great! I am sure God is smiling, but remember, if you break one, you break them all. The bible says this. James 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” I know some don’t understand this and might not even know about it since many read the new version bibles which many verses are missing or changed. Take this one for instance, if you read the NIV (New International Version), look up this verse Mark 11:26. You won’t find it, because they took it out. Or Matthew 18:11, I guess “they,” don’t think those verses are important, when in fact they are VERY important. You will understand when you read them, to find out more about the other verses missing click here.

Theses missing verses are just examples on how important it is to stay in the word, and give God your all. The evil enemy doesn’t want us to know the truth, he doesn’t want us to get to Heaven. So he will do anything and everything in his power to confuse us. This is why we can never go overboard, or ever be too extreme for Jesus. We should show God how important he is in our lives, and how much we will change for him. When we do this, see how your life will change for the better. I remember when I started to keep the Sabbath, the real Sabbath (7th day) (Friday sundown to Saturday sundown,) my life got so much better. Everything in my life kept getting better, from financially to my health. I think keeping the Sabbath was the hardest to do since I was so used to doing all of my shopping on that day and/or going out with friends. But when God saw that I actually gave up all that for him, my life changed in such a better way. I’ll never go back that’s for sure. Sure I lost friends, and became the weirdo of the group, but it didn’t faze me any, because I am weird and I love it! I like being different rather than blending in with the crowd. I remember when I used to dye my hair bleach blonde, then started seeing everyone else had the same color, I would change it to something else. Now I have my natural color, thank God I grew out of that stage, but this just goes to show how extreme some will go just to change themselves into something they are not. With all of the plastic surgery going around, anyone can look like anyone they want to now.

So rather than changing our image to another human being because we admire them, we should try to change our self into being more like Jesus. He should be the one we admire, because no matter how much we change our face or body on the outside we will always be unhappy with ourselves on the inside. With God we will be happy inside and outside, and he will shine through us so others will see, and most likely admire you, even if it is secretly. You never know who is watching you. Be a leader, not a follower. Do what makes you happy, not what your family, friends or loved ones THINK will make you happy. Do your own research about God so you can find the truth. Just like how important it is to being your own health detective when it comes to your health, be your own bible detective to find the truth to save your soul.

Love God, love yourself and you will soon be able to conquer the world. Like the bible says in Phillippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strenghtheth me.” And like Matthew 19:26 says, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
