There is always a question that seems to arise, and that question is, “Why would God allow bad things to happen?”
First of all the Bible tells us that evil does not come from God, nor can we blame God for all the evil in this world. Evil comes from Satan, and it entered this world when Satan deceived Adam and Eve which caused them to disobey God. God wants everyone to prosper and be happy. But because so many people ignore what’s best for them in that if they were to obey God, their lives would be so much better. But most refuse Him and so when He tells them to stop this sin or that sin in life because if they don’t it will lead to disaster from the dying god (satan)of this world who gives everyone tragedy as a gift for following him. But the God of love wants to give them joy, peace and long life. Man has free will. That means he even has the free will choice to refuse the good things in life and when the bad things happen he even has the free will to blame God even though it’s all their own fault.
God tries to stop the problems but the adamant desire to sin of the ones being hurt stays His hand and their problems persist. And yes, some are ignorant (lacking knowledge or awareness) of all this and so the Lord winks (meaning, you won’t be judged for something you don’t know/never learned) at their times of ignorance, but many and this includes Atheist willingly choose ignorance and so the problem is all on them. For it is written in Hosea 4:6 ” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
The general theme in the Word of God is when someone steps into disobedience, God’s protections are removed from them as they prefer. Satan then steps in and whatever happens is just as much the person’s fault as it is the devil’s. Still, in most cases the Lord will still send protection to nonbelievers because He loves them too and we the Christians are praying for them. Still, after numerous attempts at drawing the soul to repent, the voice of God will eventually be forever hushed and the person is on their own.
Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”
Does God really speak to us?
God does speak to us, he has been. He wants to help us. I think the reason some don’t realize it, is because their life is so clouded with sin, they can’t see it or they ignore it. We live in a world of sin, if we join it we will get lost in it, and it is hard to get out. This is why it is so important to read our bibles every day, and keep our minds clear, and toxic free. We must change our lifestyles to healthy ones, stay away from drugs, alcohol, and bad junk foods. How can we read the Bible, and focus on keeping God’s commandments if our brains are foggy with filth. Drugs alter the brain, whether it’s a drug from the streets or a prescription drug. Alcohol alters the brain, it is a toxin, yes, even wine. Anything that makes you drunk and/or impaired is toxins poisoning the body. People use the excuse that Jesus drank wine, truth is he drank unfermented wine, you can’t get drunk (click here for more info). Bad foods alter the brain, sugar especially! If we stop the bad eating, we wouldn’t need prescription drugs. Exercise is also important, as well as fresh air and sunlight.
Sometimes I feel that people that have unhealthy lifestyles are easier to brain wash. Especially those who are on some kind of drug. We are prevented from thinking clearly, and seeing the whole picture by taking these drugs, and/or eating unhealthy foods. If you think you have to drink, do drugs, or eat junk food because it makes you feel better, then ask yourself this question. Does it really make you feel better? If so, how long does it last? We really don’t need to defile ourselves to have a happy life, God is our happy life. If you are serious about wanting to change, get on your knees and ask God to help you. He knows your heart better than anyone else, he also knows how truthful you are. And remember when your life starts to change for the better, and then something bad happens in your life, don’t give up on God. That’s what the evil wants you to do, because it does not want you to be happy. God puts us through tests, some are hard to deal with, but remember this: God will never give us anything we can’t handle. The bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” When we overcome these trials, God will bless us for passing his tests.
If nothing else worked in your life, then why not just give God a chance. A real chance, not just for show.
We all have a choice, we either choose the Good or the Bad, Heaven or Hell, Happiness or Misery. You decide.
As it says in the Bible in Matthew 12:30 ” He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”
Here’s are a couple links to a bible study audio and sermon that would be beneficial to listen to.
