I often ponder the thought of why some of us hide their thoughts, praises, miracles and/or beliefs about God. After thinking about it, I get it. I used to do that too. I was embarrassed, scared of what people will think of me or scared of losing friendships. After growing stronger with God, I now understand that if someone doesn’t want to be my friend because of my beliefs of God we shouldn’t worry about it, it doesn’t bother me one bit now, I just continue to pray for them. We shouldn’t stress ourselves out and hide what we believe because we think it will offend someone. Especially if God promises us more happiness if we acknowledge him to the world. If we continue in these friendships guess what will happen next? The first verse that comes to mind is from 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” In other words, Bad Company Corrupts Good Character. We can deny this all we want and say, “this won’t happen to me,” it will, and if we allow it we will be the ones in the wrong. We have to remember that the “corrupt” friends usually don’t know what they are doing is wrong but WE as followers of God do, and that’s far worse than them not knowing, it’s called Iniquity which means we know what we are doing wrong but we do it anyways. We should always pray for more strength to overcome these iniquities because the devil won’t quit until he has our soul. We should always strive to be more like Jesus and happy that we have a protector 24/7 and we should also be happy that we are loved by Him. We should always be happy and thankful that we have someone like this in our lives. We should also keep in mind what the bible says, like in Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His (God) face from you so that He(God) does not hear.” Just thinking about this verse makes me sad because I know I am still a sinner and I still have a lot to work on with myself, but it also motivates me to want to do and be better for God. I think we should pray every day so we stay in track, especially through the tests and trials we go through. And like it says in 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” We need to prove ourselves to God by reading His Word every day. Building our foundation of Life around Christ should be key, He should be first and last of our every day life, and if we do all this our lives will only get better. And remember God will never give us more than we can handle. God Bless.
1 Corinthians 10:31King James Version (KJV)
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:13King James Version (KJV)
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
