Many people believe it’s acceptable to attend any church at any time, but this can be harmful to one’s soul. If the preacher shares a misleading message, you might be tempted to accept it, simply because you lack the knowledge to discern otherwise.
If you are part of a true church of God, it’s not appropriate to attend another church simply because it is more convenient. This could be seen as spiritual infidelity. Attending a church with differing beliefs means you are not being faithful to God or His teachings. By participating in their services, you would be embracing false doctrine. For instance, consider the Catholic Church in comparison to a Seventh Day Remnant Christian. Like many denominations, the Catholic Church observes Sunday as their Sabbath. In fact, they altered God’s command by changing the true Sabbath (the Seventh Day) to Sunday (the First Day) in 321 AD, and many believers were persecuted for refusing to comply with this change.
They violate many commandments; for instance, the first commandment states, “You shall have no other gods before me,” and the second one states, “You shall not make for yourself any graven image….” They have created statues that they pray to, treating them as deities. The pope has even claimed to be God. Additionally, they have committed acts of violence against many people, including infants, which breaks the sixth commandment of “thou shalt not kill.”
“It has been recorded that the church of Rome has shed more innocent blood than any other institution that has ever existed among mankind, will be questioned by no Protestants who have a competent knowledge of history. It is impossible to form a complete conception of the multitude of her victims, and it is quite certain that no powers of imagination can adequately realize their sufferings.” W.E.H. Lecky’s “History of the Rise and Influence of the Spirit of Rationalism in Europe,” Volume 2, page 32, in the 1910 edition.
I’m not implying that the people sitting in the pews are evil; rather, it is the leaders who are aware of these issues that are at fault. Therefore, if a member of the Seventh Day Remnant attends their services, they are essentially endorsing their false teachings. An excuse I’ve heard some people say is that they attend different churches to feel closer to God. However, you can draw closer to God through prayer or by reading His word and if they studied God’s Word they would know this. It’s important to recognize that the devil can perform miracles and create feelings that may lead you to believe something is right, even when it isn’t.
Remember what Proverbs 14:12 says: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 12:15 also makes it clear: “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise” The reality is that we can’t just act however we please whenever we want. If that were the case, God wouldn’t have given us His law or the 66 books of the Bible to guide us. We need to stop making choices based on our emotions and instead follow God’s will. How often have you felt compelled to lie to someone to spare their feelings? Such “white lies” arise from emotion, as people often don’t want to hurt others. Or perhaps you’ve told your boss you were sick because you didn’t want to go to work after a family party/event? That’s still a lie, and the ninth commandment tells us so. Remember, the devil is known as the father of lies. In John 8:44, Jesus says, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” So the next time you consider lying, think about who might be pleased by that lie—it’s certainly not God.
We need fewer people like those mentioned in Isaiah 4:1: “And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.”. They seek to do whatever THEY desire while wanting to be called Christians to escape their shame. That’s not our calling. We must be obedient to God’s law and cultivate the faith of Jesus. As Ecclesiastes 12:13 states: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Revelation 14:12 reminds us: “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” We should strive for the contrite heart described in Isaiah 57:15: “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” If you can’t find a church, consider doing a Bible study at home, either alone or with your family; this will glorify God.
Here are some things to remember when looking for a church:
- Are they obedient to God’s law which are the 10 commandments?
- Do they keep the true Sabbath Holy?
- Which Bible do they read?
- Do they understand who God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus are?
- Do they believe in once saved always saved?
- Are they obedient to God’s law which are the 10 commandments?
The 10 commandments, also known as; God’s Law is constantly being attacking. There is so much proof that the 10 commandments are still valid yet people keep falling for the lies. Unfortunately, it’s so easy to be brain washed these days especially if you don’t study the Bible. Regardless of what you believe, Gods law stands forever. Here is biblical proof:
As the Bible states many times, it’s important to obey the 10 commandments;
- “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6
Since God said He does not change, why would He change His Law?
- “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Matthew 5:18
I know many like to use this verse when it comes to the abolishment of the 10 commandments. So my questions are: Has Heaven and Earth passed? Did the world end and I just missed it?
- “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” Colossian 2:14
God’s law was never against us. It was the “ordinances” that were against us. Galatians 3:19 says: “Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.” Notice the word “added?” These ordinances were “added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made” That means the ordinances are to be temporary. The word “till” denotes they will be done away with at some time. And keep in mind, this passage is speaking about ordinances after the Law was already written in stone. Reading the Word as it was written, one can see that it’s rather blunt here as to why the “ordinances” were added. Their sinfulness required the addition of the ordinances. However, it also states they were added TILL the seed should come. And who was this seed? Galatians 3:16 says, “And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Galatians 3:16 says: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” In other words, the ordinances were added to prepare the people for the FIRST arrival of Messiah. It was something that personified the removal of sin. By obedience to the ordinances, the people of God showed their faith in the coming Messiah who would free them from their sins and would actually fulfill the ordinances in reality. When Jesus died on the cross the ordinances were no longer needed because he fulfilled them all and sin finally found the eternal remedy for forgiveness. They kept the ordinances to proclaim their faith that there would come a day when the ordinances would all be fulfilled by MESSIAH and their sins forgiven. So prophecy was fulfilled here. Notice what Exodus 18:20 says: “And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.” Notice how ordinances and laws are separated? So this proves they are different. To read more about the ordinances CLICK HERE.
- “Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;” Ephesians 2:15
People like to use this verse to back up the Matthew 5:18 verse but what they don’t realize is as I proved in the above paragraph that the “Commandments contained in ordinances” was Moses’s law, not God’s Law. Moses’s law was in stone and God’s law is written in our hearts, I will explain this more in detail, but for the sake of time, if you want to learn in depth why God’s Law was never abolished when Jesus died CLICK HERE.
First, I would like to give some verses that shows God’s Law is still valid after Jesus died:
- “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” Romans 7:12
- “For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:” Romans 7:22
Why would they still be talking about God’s Law and how holy it is IF it was abolished at the cross?
- For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3
This verse reminded me of John 14:15 When Jesus said: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” In the above verse, 1 John 5:3, His apostle John basically Echoed Jesus here. Jesus says if you love Him keep His commandments, and now John is saying keeping His commandments is the love of God. Why would He say that if they weren’t still valid? And why would Jesus say “if ye love me, keep my commandments” right before He died? It wouldn’t make sense if Jesus said it a week before He was crucified. He said this to remind the people that His commandments are forever even after His death.
- “If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:” James 2:8
- “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.” 2 John 1:6
- “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”
- “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12
- “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14
Do I really need to keep going? There are so many more verses after Jesus died that proves the 10 commandments are still valid. I will end this subject by showing this neat chart I found on remnantofgod.org showing the difference between Gods law and Moses’s law.

2. Do they keep the true Sabbath Holy?
The Sabbath (Friday sundown – Saturday sundown) is also being attacked ever since Roman Emperor Constantine changed it to Sunday back in 321 A.D. This was also prophesied in Daniel 7:25 “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
The sabbath is very important to understand because most people go to church on Sundays which is the first day of the week. The Bible says the Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. So if you go to a Sunday keeping church you are breaking the fourth commandment.
Here is Biblical proof:
- “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 8-11
- “Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.” Leviticus 23:3
Did you notice that the fourth commandment is the only commandment with the word “remember” in it? God said to “remember” the Sabbath for a reason. He knew we would be taught to forget it or forced to break it, that is why He said it.
- “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6
God said He never changes, so again, why would He change His law? The law was changed by the roman catholic government, Constatine. When we stay obedient to God we will not be consumed.
If God designated and sanctified the seventh day as the Sabbath, why do most people attend church on Sundays? This change occurred because on March 7, 321 A.D., Roman Emperor Constantine enacted a law that shifted the Sabbath to Sunday. The Catholic Church has acknowledged this numerous times as well; here are just a few examples:
- “In the year 321 ad statute was enacted forbidding all secular employment and civil procedures on Sunday..” Ridpath, J. C. (1885). Cyclopedia of Universal History (Vol. 1). The Jones Brothers Publishing Co. p. 883
- “Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday [in the original: “sabbato” shall not be idle on the Sabbath], but shall work on that day; but the Lord’s day they shall especially honour, and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out [“anathema,”–excommunicated] from Christ.” Council of Laodicea, c. A.D. 337, Canon 29, quoted in C.J. Hefele, “A History of the Councils of the Church,” Vol. 2, p. 316.
- “On the Venerable Day of the Sun [“venerabili die Solis”–the sacred day of the Sun] let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or for vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost–Given the 7th day of March, [A.D. 321], Crispus and Constantine being consuls each of them for the second time.” The First Sunday Law of Constantine 1, in “Codex Justinianus,” lib. 3, tit. 12, 3; trans. in Phillip Schaff “History of the Christian Church,” Vol. 3, p. 380.
- Therefore, also in the particular circumstances of our own time, Christians will naturally strive to ensure that civil legislation respects their duty to keep Sunday holy. In any case, they are obliged in conscience to arrange their Sunday rest in a way which allows them to take part in the Eucharist, refraining from work and activities which are incompatible with the sanctification of the Lord’s Day, with its characteristic joy and necessary rest for spirit and body. (Dios Domini page 112) -Pope John Paul II
- The RCC “makes its contribution (in the ethical and moral sphere) according to the dispositions of international law, helps to define that law, and makes appeal to it”, that we live in a time when little groups of independent people threaten the unity of the world, and that the only way to combat this problem is by establishing law and then ordering all of society according to this law, thus promoting “peace and good will throughout the earth.” (Apostolic Journey to the United States of America and Visit to the United Nations Organization Headquarters, Meeting with the Members of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization, Address of Pope Benedict XVI, New York, Friday, April 18, 2008.) -Pope Benedict 16 (Interesting… so is this saying arrest and/or Kill Christians If they don’t comply? See this Link)
So when is the Sabbath? The Sabbath is the seventh day as mentioned earlier, and the Sabbath starts Friday sundown and ends Saturday Sundown. If you read creation week in Genesis chapter 1 you will see when the days started. For example; Genesis 1:5 says “And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” So a day starts at evening. There are other verses to back this up throughout the bible, here is one example: Nehemiah 13:19 “And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.” The true Sabbath is mentioned many times throughout the bible, CLICK HERE for a more in depth study on the True Sabbath.
Attending any church, particularly one that observes Sunday, can lead to confusion and steer you away from the Truth. As the Bible states, bad company corrupts good character. The fact that your pastor observes Sunday as the Sabbath indicates alignment with Rome, much like the Seventh-day Adventist leaders. These leaders are choosing to follow human authority instead of God. This is a hard truth; they may manipulate, alter, or omit scriptures, but the Truth remains unchanging. They will face consequences for their actions, and so will you if you remain with them. You cannot hold your pastors accountable, as God has given you free will to make your own choices regarding beliefs and actions. Unfortunately, many people today do not read their Bibles, leaving them unaware of their errors, though their pastors certainly are. It takes courage to acknowledge mistakes, and I believe one reason pastors often don’t admit their wrongs is financial. They may fear losing congregants and respect, but I would argue that admitting mistakes could actually earn them more respect, as it shows they fear God and are trustworthy leaders. Some individuals settle for a church despite differing beliefs or recognizing sin, which constitutes spiritual adultery, as it contradicts the Word of God and may lead to agreement with those errors. If you can’t find a suitable church, consider studying at home until you do.
For those wondering about the calendar change, let me explain. The Sabbath has remained unchanged since Jesus’ time, as shown by biblical accounts of Jesus attending the synagogue on the Sabbath (Luke 4:16) and His followers resting on it (Luke 23:56), aligning with the commandment in Exodus 20. The Julian calendar, introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C., had a year of 365.25 days, slightly longer than the solar year of 365.242195 days, causing a 10-day drift over time. The Gregorian calendar, adopted in 1582, corrected this drift but did not alter the sequence of days, preserving the weekly cycle and the Sabbath’s position. Ancient calendars in Babylon, Rome, and among the Hebrews used varied naming systems, such as numbering days toward the Sabbath or naming them after celestial bodies, but the seven-day cycle remained consistent. 3. Which Bible do they read?
Another key factor to consider when searching for a church is to understand which Bible the congregation uses. I recognize that there is ongoing debate about which translation is best, but I believe the King James Bible is the most reliable. I have been researching the reasons why the King James Bible should be the sole translation we trust, and I’m still gathering information. As I continue my research and discover new insights, I will update my findings. For now, I will share what I have learned so far.
Many verses have been omitted or altered in other translations, and while there are too many examples to cover, I’ll highlight a few to illustrate my point. I’ve also reviewed several revised versions of the Bible, and I’ve noticed that they largely share similar issues, so I’ve included a few of the more well-known ones for reference.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Luke 2:33 (NASV/NASB- New American Standard Version/Bible)
“And His father and mother were amazed at the things which were being said about Him.”
Luke 2:33 (NIV- New Internation Version) “The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.”
Luke 2:33 (AMP- Amplified Bible) “And His father and His mother were amazed at what was said about Him.”
Luke 2:33 (KJV- King James Version)
“And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.”
Did you see the different meanings? The NASV, NIV and the AMP version refers to Joseph as the father of Jesus which would deny the Virgin birth.

1 John 5:7 (NASV) “For there are three that testify:”
1 John 5:7 (NIV) “For there are three that testify:”
1 John 5:7 (AMP) “For there are three witnesses:”
1 John 5:7 (KJV) “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
The NASV, NIV and AMP do not even name the Father, Son and Holy Spirit that are in Heaven, and they left out that they are one or in agreement. Can you see how reading a corrupt bible can confuse someone?
This is an important verse because some actually think this verse should be removed, It’s probably because this verse exposes their doctrine that the Holy Spirit doesn’t exist as a separate and third person of the Godhead as false. Worse yet, verse 10, which imitates their doctrine, is actually calling God a liar.
For those that want this verse removed should remember these verses from Revelation 22:18-19 :“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Ephesians 5:9 (NASV) “for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth”
Ephesians 5:9 (NIV) “for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth”
Ephesians 5:9 (AMP) “for the fruit [the effect, the result] of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth”
Ephesians 5:9 (KJV) “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;”
Why do you think they changed “spirit” to “light”? 2 Corinthians 11:14 says:And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Could that be why? The devil wants us to have his fruits instead the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
“Meekness and humility are the fruits of the Spirit. The prophet Daniel was an example of true sanctification. His long life was filled up with noble service for his Master. He was a man ” greatly beloved”‘ of Heaven, and was granted such honors as have rarely been vouchsafed to mortals. Yet his purity of character and unwavering fidelity were equaled only by his humility and contrition. SOP4,p. 301”
“Paul writes to the Corinthians, “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”~ And with the fruits of the Spirit-” love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith; meekness,”-he classes temperance. SOP4,p.303”

Acts 8:37 (NASB) They took the whole verse out, I googled it on biblegateway.com and it said “no results” under the NASB.
Acts 8:37 (NIV) Removed it, they even removed the number 37, it goes from 36 to 38. Some Bibles have gone so far as to split up either verse 36 or verse 38 to fill in for the missing verse 37.
Acts 8:37 (AMP) Removed it.
Acts 8:37 (KJV) “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
Why would they remove this verse? They baptize babies in Catholicism and some other denominations. A baby cannot PROCLAIM that they “believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”, so, they remove the verse rather than change their doctrines. They continue on baptizing infants even though an infant cannot do what the Word says is necessary for the reception of Baptism, so therefore the baby is just getting a celebrated bath.

Matthew 1:25 (NASB) “but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he named Him Jesus.”
Matthew 1:25 (NIV) ”But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.”
Matthew 1:25 (AMP) “but he kept her a virgin until she had given birth to a Son; and he named Him Jesus.”
Matthew 1:25 (KJV) And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
Both the NIV and NASB remove the word “firstborn” from their version. Why? It allows for the “doctrine of devils” that proclaim Mary was a virgin forever and had no more children other than Jesus. “Firstborn” proves there will be more. Check this free book out for more in detail: “The Second Window.”

Luke 4:4 (NASB) “And Jesus answered him, It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone.”
Luke 4:4 (NIV) “Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone’”
Luke 4:4 (AMP) “Jesus replied to him, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone”
Luke 4:4 (KJV) “And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
They all removed “by every word of God.” Is this why many people don’t study their bibles like 2 timothy 2:15 says to do? Can you see why people are so lost and confused when they read these corrupt bibles? They even changed 2 Timothy 2:15 too.
____________________________________________________________________________________
2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB) “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV) “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) “Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
They took out “study to shew thyself approved to God,” instead they add “do your best.” God wants us to study His Word daily, this show Him our faith to Him, this is what He approves of, not “do your best.” He wants us to do it. He wants us to perfect our character in His Word. This is why Matthew 5:48 says “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” And why Ephesians 5:17 says: “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” The way we understand and perfect our walk is by studying the Word of God.

Isaiah 14:12 (NASB) “How you have fallen from heaven, You star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations!”
Isaiah 14:12 (NIV) “How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!”
Isaiah 14:12 (AMP) “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the ground, You who have weakened the nations!”
Isaiah 14:12 (KJV) “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”
The NASB, NIV, and AMP remove “O Lucifer” and replaces it with “O morning star,” “O star of the morning,” and “son of the morning.” Why is this such a big deal? Because REV 22:16 plainly states that, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.” Jesus is the bright and morning star, NOT Lucifer!

The last verse I would like to talk about is Revelation 13:16, it says:
Revelation 13:16 (KJV) “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:”
Majority of the revised bibles including the NIV, NASB, AMP, and even the NEW King James Version change the word “in” to “on” their forehead or right hand to confuse the prophetic symbols regarding what a forehead and hand mean in prophecy. This is important to understand because this talks about the Mark of the Beast. There are so many theories on what the mark is, it’s ultimately denying Christ.
So let’s talk about this for a moment. Why is this mark so important and what are the actual features of a mark? Remnantofgod.org explains it perfectly here:
Have you ever signed a document to validate or confirm that it is authentic? Have you ever given your “seal of approval” on something? Have you ever “marked” an item of yours as proof of ownership? Well in all government halls, this is an undeniable fact of life. As we know, signing a document actually authenticates that document. Government declarations must always bear a mark, or an official seal of approval on it for validity. But what are the actual features of an official mark or seal made by governing bodies?
An official seal or signature must always have three distinct features to be considered valid:
The name of the official
The title of the official
The territory of the official
When the President of the United States signs a bill into law, he must sign it,
1.Name “George Washington”
2.Title “President”
3.Territory “of the United States of America”
Collectively his signature would read:
“George Washington, President, of the United States”
Absolutely every document must be signed or sealed in this manner for it to become an official legal document. Without it, it’s a useless piece of paper.
Looking to the Creator we realize that He does in fact have a Heavenly Kingdom. And a Kingdom always has a governing body. In this case, God Himself. The Almighty also has a legal document containing His Law for that Kingdom. The Lord’s legal document is His Law. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Looking directly into the midst of these Ten Commandments you will find the Seal of the living God! Within the fourth Commandment we find the words.
“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth….” -Exodus 20:11
In that passage we see all the necessary features of an official seal. Without these three features the Law would be nothing more than words etched on stone. Again.
An official seal or signature must always have three distinct features to be considered valid:
HIS NAME = THE LORD (“I am the Lord: that is my name” Isaiah 42:8)
HIS TITLE = CREATOR (Notice, “the LORD made” in above verse)
HIS TERRITORY = HEAVEN AND EARTH (Notice, “Heaven and earth” in above verse)
Collectively His signature reads.
“The Lord, Creator, of Heaven and Earth”
One can easily see that the “seal” of the Creator God is actually found in the “Sabbath commandment” of the Creator God. It is an acknowledgement of His authority as the Creator as well as the Author of that Law written in stone. When we keep His Sabbath we are expressing that we recognize, “remember” and worship Him as our Creator. Psalm 77:11 literally says, “I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.” How should we remember Him? The fourth commandment plainly says, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
And WHY do we remember Him on this day…?
For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:8,11
Now do you see why the Psalmist said “I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.” The Lord actually used the word “REMEMBER” when He wrote Commandment #4. And the Psalmist said he will remember the works of the LORD.
Even if you were unable to step into a church on Sabbath you can keep that day holy. That alone makes a clear statement of your desire to worship the Creator God without ever having to speak a word. The act of worship alone can be seen far and wide. You could literally be deaf, blind, and paralyzed from head to toe and still have the ability to proclaim Christ Lord by keeping that day holy to the best of your ability. When you do this, the Lord proclaims unto you that, “…it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.” (Exodus 31:13)
With that said, it’s easy to see why the devil would try to attack the Sabbath day. It’s the ultimate threat to his agenda and his dominion. The devil wants to be worshipped as a god by as many as he can tempt. When you do his will, you make him your god.
Romans 6:16, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
When you obey, you give worship. Is this not the age old controversy between Satan and Jesus? Is this not the plot of this Holy War we find ourselves engaged in? Who you choose to worship makes all the difference in this battle between truth and lies. Satan seeks your worship out of sheer arrogance. Did he not already say in his heart that he wants to be like the most High?
The prophet Isaiah clearly stated, “…O Lucifer…For thou hast said in thine heart… I will be like the most High.” -Isaiah 14:12,13,14
Seeing how God has already SEALED the true Sabbath as His Sign, seal or “mark”. The devil’s only recourse is to counterfeit his own sabbath as a sign and or mark of dominion as a god. As we discovered earlier, the Lord declares unto all creation that if you truly love Him you WILL keep His commandments. Keeping the Sabbath day is proof unto all that you worship the Creator God.
So don’t get fooled by the devil, he wants to destroy the Word of God, he will do anything in his power to take the Word of God out of people as Mark 4:15 says “And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” We have to be careful because the devil is everywhere trying to confuse us, and reading the wrong bible alone will do big damage to our souls, even listening to the wrong preachers, especially those who preach prosperity. There are so many pastors who flaunt their wealth and talk about how successful they are. This is wrong to do, because they are going against what the bible says to do. Remember what 1 Timothy 6:10 says? “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” They are also making their followers break the tenth commandment. “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant” Majority also preach from the corrupted bibles. Proverbs 21:21 KJV says “He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.” The corrupted bibles like the NIV says “Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.” The NIV removes the word “righteousness” and replaces it with “prosperity” How blunt can you get? Prosperity is preached in almost ALL churches of today because of this lie. I know people who truly believe they are not blessed of God because they don’t have “nice things.” Yet the Word says in Matthew 6:19,20 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” This is just more proof to read the King James Bible.
The last thing I would like to point out is where King James/1611 Bible came from and where all of the revised bibles came from. 1611/kjv vs the Roman side. I’ll keep this brief and straightforward, as explaining it fully could fill an entire book.
In Romans chapter 3, it is written that the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God—the Old Testament—by our Creator (Romans 3:1-2). They were tasked with sharing this divine truth with all nations, yet they faltered, hoarding the sacred Scriptures for themselves instead of proclaiming them abroad. Thus, God turned to the Gentiles, as foretold in Romans 11:11-12, where Paul writes, “…through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles,” and confirmed in Acts 11:1, where the apostles hear that “the Gentiles had also received the word of God.”
But the Jews’ story shifts in Acts 8:1: “And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.” Fleeing persecution, they dispersed from Jerusalem into Judea, Samaria, and even as far as Antioch (Acts 11:19). So, the Old Testament flourished in Jerusalem, but the New Testament emerged after this scattering. Through the Holy Spirit, the apostles—especially Paul—received the full revelation of the New Testament, completing the 66 books we hold today. This, by the way, fulfills a prophecy: the candlestick in the Holy Place, a light enduring forever. Thus, from Jerusalem and Antioch sprang both the Old and New Testaments, pure and untainted.
The first to render these sacred texts into English was William Tyndale, a scholar of Oxford and Cambridge, fluent in Greek and Hebrew. A titan of the Protestant Reformation, Tyndale broke the chains of Latin obscurity, translating the New Testament in 1525—the first printed English version—and later portions of the Old Testament, including Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and more. Yet his work remained unfinished, for in 1536, the Catholic Church, enraged by his exposure of their errors, arrested, tried, and executed him for heresy. His dying prayer was that the king of England’s eyes might be opened to God’s truth. Though Tyndale’s Old Testament was incomplete, the Coverdale Bible of 1535 built upon it, and from this lineage came the King James Bible—God’s preserved Word in English.
But where came the revised versions? From Alexandria and Rome, cities stained with corruption. Acts ties them together: in Acts 27:6, a ship from Alexandria carries Paul, and in Acts 28:11, another Alexandrian vessel bears him toward Rome. In Alexandria, men crafted the LXX Septuagint, a Greek Old Testament. Taking the true text from Jerusalem, they twisted and embellished it to suit their whims, claiming superiority over the original. From Alexandria also arose the Gnostics, heretics who clung to their supposed secret knowledge over God’s plain truth, spinning tales of a flawed world and a distant divine, reimagining Scripture to fit their delusions.
Then, in Rome, Jerome, under Pope Damasus I, created the Latin Vulgate. He melded the LXX with the pure texts of Jerusalem and Antioch, yet the result was a tainted brew, crowned as the Catholic Church’s official translation. Compare the LXX and Vulgate to the writings of Jerusalem and Antioch, and errors abound—additions, omissions, distortions. Consider the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament, birthed by Eberhard Nestle in 1898 and refined by others like Barbara Aland. Its preface confesses its own frailty, admitting it is “subject to revision” and “not definitive.” That alone speaks volumes.
Therefore, modern versions like the NASB and NIV flow from these corrupted streams of Alexandria and Rome, while the true text endures from Jerusalem and Antioch. Recall God’s promise in the KJV: “The words of the LORD are pure words… Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” (Psalm 12:6-7). Would He entrust His Word to corrupt leaders? No, His preservation shines through the King James, unmarred by human meddling.
Psalm 12:6-7
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
Isaiah 40:8
“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Matthew 5:18
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
Matthew 24:35 (also Mark 13:31 and Luke 21:33)
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
1 Peter 1:24-25
“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
Volumes could be written to prove the original writings’ truth—manuscripts, history, prophecy—but that’s a book for another day. The stakes are eternal: our salvation hinges on the Bible we embrace. Many pastors cling to revised versions, seduced by their simplicity, yet their disobedience blinds them to God’s deeper truths. If we lean on pastors rather than searching the true Scriptures ourselves, testing every word preached, we risk wandering as lost sheep, deeper into the wilderness. Choose wisely, your salvation depends on it.
4. Do they understand who God, Jesus and the Holy spirit are?
It says in 1 John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
There are several different beliefs about who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are, especially the Holy Spirit. So whatever your belief these next few paragraphs that I took off of gospelorder.com explains who they are perfectly with scripture to back it up, I couldn’t have said it better.
The Godhead consists of Three Living Persons- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit or Ghost. These three beings are eternal. It is in the name of God- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit- that those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these three separate powers will cooperate in changing the character of the obedient subjects to reflect their own. (Gen. 1:26; Isa. 48:16; Matt. 1:23; 3:16, 17; 28:19; John 8:58; 18:5, 6; 14:26; 15:26; Acts 5:3, 4; 10:38; 17:22-29; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6; Heb. 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2).
Our heavenly Father, the first Person of the Godhead, is a personal, spiritual Being, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal; infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and mercy; and is unchangeable. The qualities and powers exhibited in the Son and the Holy Spirit are also revelations of the Father. (Gen. 1:1; Mal. 3:6; John 3:16; 14:9; 1 Cor. 8:5,6; 15:28; Eph. 3:9; 4:6; 1 Tim. 1:17; 1 John 4:8; Jer. 10:10-12; Heb. 1:1-3)
Jesus Christ, the second person of the Godhead, the eternal Son of God, Who created all things in co-operation with His Father, and the Holy Spirit, is fully divine. He took upon Himself man’s fallen nature from the seed of Abraham; He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary therefore fully human, yet never sinned at any time, and is the only Saviour from sin. He lived and experienced temptation as any other human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place (ending the handwriting of ordinances and feasts which were shadows of this grand event), was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. All judgment has been given unto Him. Man’s salvation is by grace through faith in Him and He will return a second time in glory for the final deliverance of His people. Jesus is known by many names in Scripture, not one of which is to be used exclusively when addressing the Saviour who reads the intentions of the heart. (Ex. 3:14; 1 Chr. 28:9; Ps. 44:21; Matt. 28:18,19; John 1:1-3, 14; 3:16; 5:22; 8:58; 10:30; 14:1-3; Micah 5:2; Matt. 1:21-23; 2:5, 6; 12:34-37; Luke 1:35; Acts 4:10-12; Col. 1:15-19; 2:14; 1 John 5:11,12; Eph. 1:9-15; 2:4-8; Rom. 3:23-26; 5:17; 6:23; 8:27; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; 2 Cor. 5:17-21; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1; 2; 4:14,15; 7:25; 8:1-3; 9:28; 11:3; 1 Peter 2:21; Rev. 21; 22:20)
The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, is Christ’s representative on earth, and leads sinners to repentance and to obedience of all God’s requirements. He is the Comforter who guides us into all truth and convicts us of sin. He was active with the Father and the Son in creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writers of Scripture and safeguards it. He filled Christ’s life with power and those who respond to Jesus, He will renew and transform into His image. He gives spiritual gifts to the body of Christ (the church), empowering them to bear witness for Jesus. (Gen 1:1, 2; Matt. 28:18,19; Luke 1:35; 4:18; John 3:5; 14:16-18, 26; 15:26, 27; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; 10:38; Rom. 1:1-4; 1 Cor. 2:10; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 4:30; Heb. 9:14; 2 Peter 1:21)
There are many more verses explaining who the Godhead is but I would like to show a few in detail regarding Jesus and the Holy Spirit being Gods since many deny them.
Thomas calling Jesus Lord and God
In John 20:27 Jesus says to Thomas: “Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.”
And Thomas responds in John 20:28: “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”
Jesus’s name, Emmanuel means God with us
Matthew 1:23 says:, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Jesus is the Saviour and He is being called God here
1 Timothy 2:3 says; “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;”
God wrote the 10 commandments and Jesus said this:
Jesus says in John 14:15 says; “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
As for the Holy Spirit, please read Proverbs chapter 8, there are 36 verses. This is the Holy Spirit speaking. That chapters says a lot about who He is.
Here are a few verses about the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit has Omnipresence. He is everywhere
Psalms 139:7, “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?”.
The Holy Spirit is eternal
Hebrews 9:14, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
The Holy Spirit is all powerful
Luke 1:35, “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”
The Holy Spirit has a mind
Romans 8:27, “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
There are many more verses proving the Holy Spirit is a God and a separate person, click here for more.
It’s reasonable to conclude that our Father and Creator is a God, Jesus is a God, and the Holy Spirit is a God, collectively forming the Godhead. As Matthew 28:19 instructs us to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we rely on all three to transform our character to mirror theirs.
5. Do they believe in once saved always saved?
What does Hebrews 6:4-6 say about this?
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”
These verses talk about the people who learn about Jesus, accept Him, and get saved—meaning they’re part of God’s family and have the Holy Spirit in them. They experience God’s love, His Word, and His power, like answered prayers and miracles. But if they reject their faith on purpose by being disobedient to His law, or just turning their backs on Him, it’s like they’re hurting Him again, as if His sacrifice wasn’t enough. The Bible says it’s “impossible” to bring them back to believing and being sorry for their sins because obviously if they are purposely rejecting Him they won’t be sincerely remorseful. Salvation is God’s gift that saves us from sin and Hell, while bringing us close to Him, but if they throw that gift away and refuse it, they lose that connection with God, ultimately losing their salvation. We need salvation to get into Heaven because sin is not allowed in Heaven as 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Revelation 21:27 explains.
We can definitely lose our salvation, and it makes sense when you think about it. When someone gets saved, you can see a big change in how they live—they’re closer to God and act differently. Then slowly for whatever reason they slowly stop reading the Bible and start doing things they know are wrong, like drinking alcohol, living together before marriage, having premarital sex, or partying in ways that go against God’s Word, they’re turning their back on Him. At first, they might feel guilty, but over time, that guilt fades because the Holy Spirit is no longer with them.
Lets talk about Roman 6:14, people seem to think because this verse is here that once save always saved is real, but they forget to see the very next verse.
Romans 6:14 says; “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
Romans 6:15 says; “What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”
Doesn’t anyone else notice the “God forbid” part? The devil deceives us by putting lies and doubts in preachers’ minds. Because they disobey God, they’re blind to the truth. Instead of urging people to read their Bibles, they do the opposite, using verses like this to make their lies seem true. But if people studied their Bibles, they’d discover the real truth. To read more in depth about this go to this CLICK HERE.
Luke 9:62 says; “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
If we can’t lose our salvation then why did Jesus say that? Many people do work for God but then “look back” with the desire of their old sinful ways. Remember what happened to Lot’s wife? These people aren’t fit for the kingdom of Heaven as Jesus said.
There are many more verses that prove we can lose our salvation; so stay in the Word and do bible studies daily so you won’t be fooled by these lies. And remember the promise of 1 John 1:9 and Act 3:19.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
If we truly change our ways and sincerely confess and repent God will forgive us. Thankfully He knows our hearts.
In closing, choosing the right church is vital because it must follow God’s Word faithfully, or it can lead you away from His truth. A church that disobeys God’s 10 Commandments, like ignoring the true seventh-day Sabbath, teaches false doctrines that can hurt your faith. By studying the King James Bible and finding a church that honors God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, while rejecting lies like “once saved, always saved,” you’ll grow closer to God. If you can’t find such a church, studying the Bible at home with prayer keeps you true to God’s law and guards your soul from the devil’s deception.
