God is merciful, and He is a wonderful, loving God. He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Too often we take for granted what God has done for us, and what He is still doing for us every day.

God has given every one of us free will, the choice to walk in His ways or to go our own. He will not force us, because He does not want servants who are mere machines, but children who choose Him freely. The question stands before us: will we choose the narrow way that leads to life, or the broad way that leads to destruction? (Matthew 7:13-14). The choice is ours.

When evil happens to us, or when troubles come, many blame God. Yet the thief comes not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10). Our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). These things do not come from the hand of our loving Father, but from the enemy.
We are now in the midst of trial and testing. Will we endure to the end and keep the faith, or will we faint and let the enemy prevail? (Matthew 24:13). The decision is ours.

For God is love (1 John 4:8). No matter what sins we have committed in the past, if we come to Him with a broken and a contrite heart (Psalm 51:17), confessing and forsaking them, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). That is the greatness of His love—He gives space to repent (Revelation 2:21), granting yet more opportunities to turn to Him.

But know this: the day is coming when the longsuffering of God will wait no longer. The plagues will come (Revelation 15:1; 16:1), and then the harvest will be past, the summer ended, and we not saved (Jeremiah 8:20). Our eternal destiny will be fixed.

Draw near to God while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin (Hebrews 3:13). Seek Him now, before the door is shut (Matthew 25:10).

Strive to hear those blessed words from the lips of our Savior: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21).

Turn to Him today. His arms remain open. Come to Him, and find rest for your soul (Matthew 11:28).🩷🙏🏼
