Dealing with trials in our lives

sailor pray1

I often wonder about the trials I go through in my life, or the trials of loved ones. We find ourselves stressed out, depressed and wondering why this is happening in our lives. Some fall off the path of righteousness and others stay strong with God’s help. What we seem to forget is that God is getting us ready for something bigger, he wants to see how strong we are and if we are strong enough to move onto the next level. This is kind of like working out your body to build muscles and gain strength, you have to exercise on a regular basis in order to do so which causes stress upon the body. And the more often you work that muscle out, the bigger it will get and the stronger you will be. Remember, God won’t give us something we can’t handle, His Word says so…… 1 Corinthians 10:13 ” There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” As you can see he always gives us a way out as well. And it is normal to have these thoughts because we are human, and the devil wants us to worry. But next time we go through a trial we should think about what Jesus had to go through, he felt the greatest pain that was ever known. Feeling a little selfish now? I know I am.. I couldn’t imagine going through what He did, he felt  anything and everything that was bad. So our little piddly trials that we complain about are nothing compared to the pain and suffering Jesus had to go through, and He did this for us! See how much He loves us? How much do you love Him? Through Love and Prayer to God he was able to get through his trials. So if God can get him through all that, I am sure he could help us with ours. Next time you feel like you’re at the end of your rope, instead of complaining how hard it is to be a Christian or how hard your life is, get on your knees and thank God for having his son go through all of that pain and suffering so that you can have a chance at eternal happiness in heaven and ask him to help you. God doesn’t want us to fail, he wants us to succeed, in everything we do.

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God”

KJV 1 Corinthians 10:31
